About The Position
Culinary Services Group is hiring full-time and part-time Shift Supervisors for the Alabama Department of Mental Health in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Shift Supervisor directs associates’ activities during a specific shift and oversees completion of assigned job expectations while maintaining policy and procedure. Days and hours may vary, and open availability is required. Prior cooking and food service experience is required. The pay range is $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Direct associates’ activities during a specific shift and oversee completion of assigned work expectations while maintaining policies and procedures.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate worker performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable work standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
- Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
