About The Position

As a Shift Supervisor, you lead with craft and heart to help make the coffeehouse a warm, welcoming space for the community. You prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized to customer requests, and direct or coordinate the work of other employees. The role requires customer interaction, adherence to store operating policies and standards, and availability for flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Requirements

At least six months of experience in a position involving constant interaction with and fulfillment of customer requests.
At least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Available to work flexible hours, potentially including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
Ability to direct the work of others.
Ability to learn quickly.
Effective oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the retail environment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customize them for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, ingredient quantity, or substitutions.
Direct the work of other employees and delegate or coordinate tasks.
Meet store operating policies and standards, including quality beverage and food preparation, cash handling, and store safety and security.
Fulfill customer requests and provide customer service.
