About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Shift Supervisor - Unarmed to oversee security for a high-profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus during a designated shift. The supervisor performs general security duties to protect people and property, enforce applicable policies, rules, and regulations, and deter criminal activity and misconduct. This full-time position is for an outlet mall and runs from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., at $22.00 per hour. Applicants must have held a driver’s license for more than one year and have a clean driving record.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid driver’s license; the posting also requires a license held for more than one year and a clean driving record.
• At least one of the following: an associate’s degree or higher in any discipline; active-duty military, military reserve, or National Guard service; auxiliary police or police cadet service; or at least one year of verifiable, successful security experience.
• At least two years of verifiable work experience demonstrating customer service, composure during emergencies, ability to understand and apply written and verbal orders and compose reports, effective written and oral communication, planning and organization, Microsoft Office proficiency, problem solving, coaching and mentoring, active listening, teamwork, situational assessment, synthesis of facts and concepts, identification of critical issues, data compilation and interpretation, research and investigation, conflict mediation, goal setting, and attention to detail.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Emergency Management Systems and FEMA Incident Command certifications: ICO 100, 200, and 300.
• Working knowledge of EMS protocols, or Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary under site Post Orders.
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding their duties.
• Cross-train officers to increase versatility and operational efficiency.
• Recommend productivity improvements and cost reductions to management.
• Recommend physical security surveys and post orders.
• Recommend positive and negative personnel actions for directly supervised employees.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers assigned to the shift.
• Ensure required training and screening elements for security personnel are completed.
• Keep overtime to a minimum or within a predefined level designated by Allied Universal.
• Inspect security personnel and their job performance to ensure service quality and contract compliance.
• Perform operational and related functions, including payroll, reviewing and maintaining incident reports, and assisting with security surveys and post orders.
