About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Shift Supervisor - Unarmed to oversee security for a high-profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus during a designated shift. The supervisor performs general security duties to protect people and property, enforce applicable policies, rules, and regulations in accordance with post orders, and deter criminal activity and misconduct. This is a full-time morning-shift position at an outdoor outlet mall, paying $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Possess at least one of the following: an associate’s degree or higher in any discipline; active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard service; auxiliary police or police cadet service; or at least one year of verifiable, successful security experience.
• At least two years of verifiable work experience demonstrating excellent customer service; poise and self-control in emergencies; ability to understand and apply written and verbal orders and compose reports; effective oral and written communication; planning and organizing; Microsoft Office proficiency; problem-solving; coaching, mentoring, and motivating; active listening; teamwork; situational assessment; synthesis of facts and concepts; rapid identification of critical issues; data compilation, sorting, and interpretation; research and investigation; conflict mediation with tact and diplomacy; goal setting and achievement; and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Emergency Management Systems and FEMA Incident Command certifications: ICS 100, 200, and 300.
• Working knowledge of EMS protocols, or experience as a Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary under site post orders.
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding their duties.
• Cross-train officers to increase versatility and improve site efficiency.
• Recommend productivity improvements and cost reductions to management.
• Recommend physical security surveys and post orders.
• Recommend positive and negative personnel actions for directly supervised staff.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers assigned to the shift.
• Ensure contract-required training and screening requirements are met for security personnel.
• Keep overtime to a minimum or within a level designated by Allied Universal.
• Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting assigned security personnel and their performance.
• Perform other operational and related functions, including payroll, reviewing and maintaining incident reports, and assisting with security surveys and post orders.
