About The Position

The Shift Runner performs general operational duties, including operating equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory; completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role includes on-the-job training in customer service, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice.

The position involves communicating with customers and coworkers in person and over the phone, including verbal and written communication. Delivery-related duties require safely driving the employee’s own vehicle and navigating roads, maps, and delivery-site terrain while carrying products. The role also requires accurately performing basic arithmetic to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, climb ladders or stairs, stoop or bend, crouch or squat, reach, and grasp.
• Ability to use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids.
• Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and conditions inside and outside.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers, in person and over the phone.
• Ability to safely drive one's own vehicle and navigate roads, maps, and adverse terrain or stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
• Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
