About The Position

The Shift Runner performs general operational duties, including operating equipment, handling ingredients and inventory, preparing products, processing customer orders, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role involves customer service and may include delivery tasks requiring safe use of the employee’s own vehicle. Training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice.

The position requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing ladders or stairs, stooping, bending, crouching or squatting, reaching, and grasping to use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids. The employee must tolerate varying conditions and temperatures indoors and outdoors.

Requirements

• Ability to operate equipment and use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers, in person and over the phone.
• For delivery tasks, ability to safely drive one’s own vehicle, navigate roads and maps, and manage adverse terrain and stairs while carrying products.
• Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, crouching or squatting, reaching, and grasping.
• Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and conditions indoors and outdoors.
