About The Position

The Shift Leader is responsible for everything that happens during their shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls and customer relations. The role sets an example for the crew, follows all policies and procedures, and expects the same from team members. Duties also include staffing, paperwork, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining standards and store cleanliness, providing customer service, supporting marketing and profitability, and ensuring attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

Ability to operate all equipment.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

Oversee all activities and operations during the shift.
Manage cost controls, inventory, and cash control.
Handle customer relations and provide great customer service.
Set an example for the crew and ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
Manage staffing and paperwork.
Manage food and work to a schedule.
Maintain the store's image and cleanliness.
Support marketing and profitability.
Maintain attendance and punctuality.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
