About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, and collect in-store product data. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout the store, including end caps. They are asked to provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The position averages 2–6 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Custom projects are frequently assigned, generally adding 1–2 hours per week per store; demand is higher from January through June. Associates must report to their stores within the specified deadlines and complete weekly display scanning, which can take several hours. Work requires dependable, accurate, independent, and deadline-driven performance. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling. The work involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
