Shift Leader (3rd Shift)
About The Position
Insomnia Cookies is hiring a Shift Leader to lead bakery operations during a shift and work alongside the Cookie Crew to deliver warm cookies and an exceptional guest experience. The role involves baking and packing orders, coaching teammates, and helping the bakery run smoothly. This position is suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working with people, and hands-on work. The Shift Leader works in a fast-paced bakery with frequent guest interaction, exposure to oven heat, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise. Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts are a regular part of the business; scheduling needs vary by location, and availability during peak hours is expected. The position pays $19.50 per hour. Employment is contingent on successful completion of applicable background checks, employment verification, and other pre-employment requirements permitted by law.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Positive attitude and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to obtain food safety certifications required for the location.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Availability during peak business hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Lead bakery operations during the shift and ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Bake, package, and prepare orders while providing guest service.
- Coach and motivate Cookie Crew members, offering direction, feedback, and support.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks to keep operations efficient and meet guest demand.
- Maintain standards for product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and speed of service.
- Handle cash management, register accountability, and deposits.
- Communicate important updates and partner with store leadership.
- Help wherever needed to support the team.
