About The Position

The Group Leader plans, coordinates, and oversees daily operations within an assigned department. The role leads Team Leaders and Team Members through training, coaching, motivation, and performance evaluation while ensuring safe, efficient, and productive warehouse operations. The Group Leader maintains compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements. The position directly supervises five or more employees and indirectly supervises Team Leaders and their assigned Team Members. It plans and directs work, conducts performance evaluations, provides coaching or corrective action, participates in hiring and onboarding, and addresses employee concerns. This is a third-shift position: Sunday from 9:39 PM to 6:21 AM and Monday through Thursday from 10:39 PM to 6:21 AM. If overtime is scheduled, the employee works Friday. The work takes place in a warehouse environment and may involve moving mechanical equipment, varying temperatures, loud industrial noise, and occasional exposure to dust, fumes, humidity, or outdoor weather conditions. The role may require lifting, pushing, or carrying up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting over 50 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to motivate and develop employees.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and ADP.

Ability to read screens, labels, and written instructions.
Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting over 50 pounds as required.
Ability to operate warehouse and material-handling equipment safely.

Previous supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and mentor Team Leaders so they can oversee the daily activities of assigned Team Members.
Plan, organize, and coordinate daily workflow to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
Ensure production output aligns with customer orders and shipment deadlines.
Maintain appropriate equipment levels for safe and efficient material transport and storage.
Monitor equipment usage and coordinate maintenance as needed.
Maintain bank sheets and other operational documentation accurately and promptly.
Monitor team member performance for accuracy in sequencing, material movement, and product delivery.
Promote continuous improvement and ensure work meets established quality and operational standards.
Oversee and support operation of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS).
Identify and eliminate safety, quality, and housekeeping concerns to reduce workplace hazards.
Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
Coach, mentor, and develop employees through regular feedback and performance evaluations.
Assist with staffing needs, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
Address employee concerns, resolve workplace issues, and foster a positive team environment.
Plan, assign, and direct work activities; provide corrective action when appropriate.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
