Restaurant Shift Leader - Unit 1307
About The Position
The Shift Leader helps ensure restaurant operations run smoothly by maintaining operational excellence and leading each shift. The role includes coaching Family Members, developing their skills and confidence, fostering collaboration, and addressing challenges. The Shift Leader partners with the Restaurant Manager team to develop leadership and shift-management skills and strengthen operational knowledge. The position is based primarily at the home restaurant, with occasional support at neighboring locations or elsewhere in the Market. The Shift Leader may also participate in business meetings, training opportunities, and leadership sessions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet business needs and maintain open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours, with dependable attendance.
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
- Experience coaching or leading teams.
- Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
- ServSafe Food Certification, or ability to successfully obtain it and pass the exam during training.

Responsibilities
- Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
- Coach, train, and motivate Family Members.
- Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and basic inventory processes.
- Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
- Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
- Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations.
- Support daily operations at the home restaurant and, when requested, assist neighboring locations or provide leadership support within the Market.
- Participate in business meetings, training opportunities, and leadership sessions.
