About The Position

The Shift Lead is a non-supervisory member of the Retail team who supports the Store Director and Assistant Manager in keeping daily store operations running smoothly. The role balances compliance with policies, procedures, and operational guidelines with a welcoming customer experience. The Shift Lead contributes to the success of the dispensary through customer service, cash handling and transaction support, inventory management, and maintaining an orderly store environment. Duties may vary according to business needs and priorities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
• Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.
• Availability for a varying schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail or customer service.
• Knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a friendly, welcoming experience and assist them as needed.
• Explain products and guide customers in finding suitable products; address inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment and work with colleagues to suggest improvements based on customer feedback.
• Assist with customer returns and exchanges.
• Support staff training on cash-handling and transaction procedures.
• Work with colleagues on daily cash reconciliation and reporting; collaborate with the finance department to improve cash flow and financial efficiency.
• Participate in cash-register audits and help refine cash-handling procedures and colleagues’ use of advanced register functions.
• Contribute to product quality and safety standards and organize products for restocking and accessibility.
• Work with the inventory management team to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Assist with in-store promotions and sales strategies to manage inventory.
• Monitor supply-chain performance and identify process improvements; report and analyze product trends and customer preferences with team members.
