About The Position

The Shift Lead is an experienced team member who performs complex, high-impact tasks to enhance the customer shopping experience and steps in for store leadership when needed. The role balances back-of-house administrative responsibilities with hands-on store operations in a fast-paced environment. Shift Leads uphold Lidl’s standards for cleanliness, freshness, product availability, and customer service, and help ensure smooth, efficient store operations when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn multiple roles quickly.
Effective, friendly, and professional communication skills.
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift, carry, move, or slide products weighing up to and in excess of 45 lbs. and frequently reach above head height (10+ inches).
Authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific store alcohol licensing as needed.

Responsibilities

Uphold store standards for cleanliness, freshness, product availability, and customer service.
Run assigned shifts when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent, supporting front-end operations and responding to customer concerns.
Carry out operational tasks including inventory receiving, cold chain compliance, safe handling, price changes, returns processing, ordering, and timekeeping procedures.
Follow stock-handling processes, including receiving inventory, write-offs, and returns, to support product availability and reduce shrink.
Maintain focus on priorities, encourage timely and accurate task completion, and set a strong example during the shift.
Perform stocking, cleaning, and promotional merchandising as needed to meet store needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
