About The Position

Genesis Manufacturing & Distribution is an industry leader in manufacturing plastic components for medical research, clinical diagnostic, and biotech environments. Its 24-hour facility uses injection molding machines to produce high-quality, dependable products. The Shift Coordinator performs duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor and serves as a point person for production inspections, staff communication, production inventory, and machine coverage. The role requires knowledge of injection molding processes, self-motivation, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:53 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Injection molding experience is strongly preferred.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Self-motivated.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Basic computer skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure standards and test procedures are met.
Communicate effectively to support continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Perform cleaning and general maintenance tasks.
Cover injection molding machines during lunch breaks.
Perform material control processes, including cycle counting and lot tracking, and address other inventory needs.
Manage floor inventory, following the supervisor’s direction about parts being produced.
Train new or newly assigned employees on job duties, responsibilities, and machine instructions.
Enforce machine assignments made by the supervisor.
Communicate staff responsibilities and help ensure production staff have sufficient inventory.
Take on daily tasks necessary to keep production running efficiently.
