About The Position

Genesis Manufacturing & Distribution is seeking a Shift Coordinator for its 24-hour manufacturing facility producing plastic components for medical research, clinical diagnostic, and biotech environments. Working the Monday–Friday third shift from 10:53 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., the coordinator performs responsibilities assigned by the Shift Supervisor and helps ensure production runs efficiently. The role involves inspecting production, communicating staff responsibilities, ensuring production staff have sufficient inventory, and covering machines as needed. The coordinator also handles priority duties assigned by the Supervisor and takes initiative on daily tasks that support production. This role covers a broad area of responsibility and requires knowledge of various injection molding processes. The coordinator organizes and manages time with or without instruction, solves problems, and works collaboratively to help the team succeed.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Basic computer skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Ability to solve problems and manage time with or without instruction.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Injection molding experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure standards and test procedures are met.
Communicate effectively to participate in continuous improvement and problem solving.
Perform cleaning and general maintenance tasks.
Cover injection molding machines during lunch breaks.
Perform material control processes, including cycle counting, lot tracking, and other inventory needs.
Manage floor inventory, taking direction from the Supervisor on parts being run.
Train new or newly assigned employees on job duties, responsibilities, and machine instructions.
Enforce machine assignments as assigned by the Supervisor.
Inspect production, communicate staff responsibilities, ensure production staff have sufficient inventory, and perform other tasks assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
