About The Position

The Manufacturing Manager (3rd Shift) at ITW Permatex, part of ITW’s Engine Repair Division, leads day-to-day manufacturing performance across assigned production areas. You will strengthen a safety-first culture while improving quality, productivity, delivery, inventory performance, and equipment reliability. Success in this role means building an engaged and accountable team, executing production plans consistently, and delivering sustainable operational improvements through disciplined problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including direct leadership of production or hourly labor teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and engage team members while managing priorities and resolving operational issues.
  • Working knowledge of production methods, resource allocation, strategic planning, and coordination of people and equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and time-management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned manufacturing operations on third shift to achieve safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, inventory, and uptime objectives.
  • Build a strong safety-first culture by following EHSQ requirements, completing safety observations, and ensuring follow-through on identified improvements.
  • Direct, develop, and engage hourly production team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demand, delivery commitments, inventory requirements, and performance metrics.
  • Drive operational excellence using 5S, lean production methods, and structured problem-solving to improve safety, cost, quality, and overall performance.
  • Partner with Maintenance, EHS, and Quality to improve equipment reliability, apply consistent processes, and maintain strong housekeeping and operating standards.
