About The Position

Shaw Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a third-shift team in the Extrusion department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and performance. The supervisor works closely with Plant Leadership, Human Resources, and team members to support smooth operations, effective communication, and team development.

The role involves coaching and supporting associates through performance management and problem-solving, while developing a strong understanding of tufting processes and manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate develops people, drives results, and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement so teams can operate safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED with leadership experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Leadership experience within the most recent 5 years.
• Required competencies: influence others, demonstrate good judgment, facilitate change, delegate authority, and demonstrate inclusive leadership.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in tufting, flooring, or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a third-shift manufacturing team producing quality carpet tile in an accident-free environment.
• Partner with Plant Management, Human Resources, and team members to support daily operations and team success.
• Facilitate and coach associates to improve collaboration and results.
• Conduct group and one-to-one discussions to provide feedback, set expectations, and drive accountability.
• Apply coaching, performance management, and corrective action when necessary.
• Communicate clear goals and direction that align team performance with plant objectives.
• Promote safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Support and lead efforts to improve team performance and operational results.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of carpet manufacturing processes, tufting operations, and equipment.
• Foster teamwork, inclusion, and accountability.
