About The Position
The Shear Operator operates a shear to create parts used in the assembly of rapid deployment equipment, mobile tactical shelters, air mobile containers, and palletized systems. These products support the military’s ability to mobilize, deploy, maneuver, and sustain forces. The operator reads and interprets blueprints, uses precision measuring equipment, troubleshoots potential machine or machining problems, and assists with repairs.
Requirements
- Familiarity with hand tools and assembly techniques, or industrial machining or machine shop experience.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Computer literacy.
- Safety- and quality-conscious orientation.
- Reliability and dependability.
- Experience working in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
