About The Position

The Setup Technician supports on-time, complete deliveries and returns while maintaining high product quality for customers. The role involves setting up and dismantling temporary buildings, performing service work and customer modifications, maintaining tools and equipment, and completing work and service orders through a Field Service Application. Technicians may also be assigned duties associated with Branch Service Technician or Field Service Technician roles as business needs dictate. The position requires working independently in a fast-paced environment and maintaining effective relationships with customers and colleagues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Carpentry skills and familiarity with construction trades.
• Some computer knowledge.
• Good communication skills for working with customers, salespeople, contractors, shop personnel, and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Current valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Set-up and knockdown experience preferred.
• Some experience with customer relationship management preferred.
• Previous management experience or experience working with other trades is a plus.
• Military experience is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Set up units, including anchoring, blocking and leveling, interior and exterior seaming, VAPS installation, and installation of steps, canopies, and ramps; install or remove skirting as needed.
• Knock down buildings by building shipping walls, securing exterior walls and shipment items, disconnecting utilities and mate-line crossovers, cleaning the site, and removing installations such as blocks, steps, anchors, ramps, ABS pads, and steel piers.
• Perform road service work on customer units, including electrical and plumbing work.
• Complete customer modifications.
• Complete Work Orders and Service Orders using the Field Service Application.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Perform duties associated with Branch Service Technician or Field Service Technician roles when assigned based on business needs.
• Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers at all levels.
