About The Position

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering invites applications for Sessional Lecturer positions to teach various courses during the 2026-27 Regular session. These courses include Digital Communications, Real Time Computing, Materials and Heat Transport, Network Architecture and Protocols, Verification of Digital Systems, Electric Machine Fundamentals, and Electronic Devices. The positions are for the 2026-2027 Regular Session and will be offered as lectures. A valid driver’s license is required for off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required for all listed courses.
  • For EE 456 01: Electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • For CME 332 02: Electrical engineering (or related discipline) is preferred.
  • For CME 334 02: Electrical engineering (or related discipline) is preferred.
  • For CME 435 02: Electrical engineering, computer engineering (or related discipline) is preferred.
  • For EE 341 01: Electrical engineering, engineering physics or physics (or related discipline) is required.
  • For EE 473 01: Electrical engineering, engineering physics or physics (or related discipline) is required.
  • P.Eng. is preferred for all courses.
  • A few years as a practicing engineer would be an asset for all courses.
  • Applicants should be familiar with the subject matter at the level the course is being taught.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for off campus courses.

  • Preference will be given to those with previous experience with the specific course they are applying to teach.

  • Teach EE 456 01, Digital Communications during Term One (September -December).
  • Teach CME 332 02, Real Time Computing during Term Two (January-April).
  • Teach EE 271 02, Materials and Heat Transport during Term Two (Jan -April).
  • Teach CME 334 02, Network Architecture and Protocols during Term Two (January-April).
  • Teach CME 435 02, Verification of Digital Systems during Term One (September -December).
  • Teach EE 341 01, Electric Machine Fundamentals during Term One (September-December).
  • Teach EE 473 01, Electronic Devices during Term One (September-December).
