About The Position

The Department of Management and Marketing in the Edwards School of Business invites applications for Sessional Lecturers to teach the following courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session: COMM 450.3 (01) – Issues in Marketing – Strategic Communication during Term 1 (Fall Session) and COMM 457.3 (02) – Marketing and Popular Culture during Term 2 (Winter Session). COMM 450.3 delves into specialized marketing areas such as agricultural products, business-to-business marketing, sales force management, the impact of new technology, and advanced marketing research. COMM 457.3 examines marketing's role in culture by applying cultural theory to everyday practices, covering topics like meaning, identity, ritual, production, and myth. Both courses have an expected enrollment limit of 40 students and are delivered via lecture in Saskatoon.

Requirements

  • A graduate or professional degree, or professional certification, in a field relevant to the course.
  • Relevant professional experience and ongoing professional engagement clearly linked to the field in which the candidate is expected to teach.
  • Professional engagement activities must be substantive and sustained at levels that support currency and relevance for Edwards' mission.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

  • Previous teaching experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Teach COMM 450.3 (Issues in Marketing – Strategic Communication) during Term 1 (September - December) 2026-2027.
  • Teach COMM 457.3 (Marketing and Popular Culture) during Term 2 (January - April) 2026-2027.
  • Prepare and mark course materials.
  • Potentially teach off-campus courses if a valid driver's license is held.
