About The Position

This course, IRE3615HS – Performance Management Systems, focuses on how rewards influence individual motivation and, consequently, individual and team performance. The course will delve into the complexities of designing and effectively implementing performance management systems. Key topics include performance assessment, employee motivation, discipline, performance conciliation, and the design and implementation of compensation and benefits systems to attract and retain talent while aligning with organizational strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Completed PhD in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or related discipline; or a combination of advanced degrees (e.g. MIRHR/MBA/LLB in applicable area) and equivalent professional background.
  • Expert knowledge of subject area.

Nice To Haves

  • Expert knowledge of subject area and demonstrated ability in university teaching.
  • Previous experience in teaching a similar course is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a course syllabus in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures (12 two-hour classes).
  • Be available for office hours and informal communications with students.
  • Assess and evaluate students' work.
  • Provide final course grades in accordance with university and department practices.
