About The Position

This course examines the American revolution and its reception in the musical “Hamilton.” The American revolution generated multiple stories that included and excluded actors, peoples, perspectives, and more. This course delves into the American revolution and the diversity of those engaged in it and affected by it. The songs, performances, and reception of the musical “Hamilton” are a key resource for exploring the events and role of the American Revolution. The delivery method for this course is currently in-person. Please note that, in keeping with public health advisories, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the College.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree required in Social Sciences or Humanities.
  • Demonstrated research and/or teaching expertise on issues relating to the impact of the American revolution or cognate field is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. preferred.
  • University level teaching experience is preferred, with demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of all assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
