About The Position

The Gender, Sexualities, and Social Justice Program in the Department of Political Studies, College of Arts and Science invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session. The courses offered are GENS 112.3 (02) Introduction to Womens and Gender Studies and GENS 201.3 (02) Images of Gender and Sexuality in Popular Culture, both during the Winter Term (January 6 to April 8, 2026). These courses will be delivered as lectures with specific schedules and expected enrollment limits. A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an M.A. degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. degree is preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience in a university setting is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Teach GENS 112.3 (02) Introduction to Womens and Gender Studies during Term 2 (January 6 to April 8, 2026).
  • Teach GENS 201.3 (02) Images of Gender and Sexuality in Popular Culture during Term 2 (January 6 to April 8, 2026).
  • Prepare and mark course materials.
