About The Position

The Department of Sociology in the College of Arts and Science and the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning invite applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach off-campus courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session. The courses include Foundations in Sociology: Society, Structure, Process; Foundations in Sociology: Social Construction of Everyday Life; and An Introduction to Survey Research and Data Analysis in Sociology. These courses will be offered in various locations including North Battleford, SK, Swift Current, SK, and Yorkton, SK, with different delivery modes such as In Person Lecture and hybrid Lecture. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment. A valid driver's license is required for off-campus courses.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in Sociology or related discipline.
  • Relevant teaching or professional experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach off-campus courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session.
  • Prepare and mark course materials.
  • Deliver lectures in person or in a hybrid format as specified for each course.
