About The Position

The Department of Indigenous Studies in the College of Arts and Science and the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning invite applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach off-campus courses. This role involves teaching Introduction to Canadian Indigenous Studies (INDG 107.3) in multiple locations across Saskatchewan during the 2026-2027 Regular Session. The courses are offered as In Person Lectures with specific schedules and enrollment limits for each location.

Requirements

  • PhD or MA in Indigenous Studies or related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Indigenous research.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching Indigenous Studies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach INDG 107.3 (Introduction to Canadian Indigenous Studies) at North West College in North Battleford, SK during Term 1 (September 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026).
  • Teach INDG 107.3 (Introduction to Canadian Indigenous Studies) at Suncrest College in Melfort, SK during Term 2 (January 1, 2027 to April 30, 2027).
  • Teach INDG 107.3 (Introduction to Canadian Indigenous Studies) at Suncrest College in Yorkton, SK during Term 2 (January 1, 2027 to April 30, 2027).
  • Prepare and mark course materials.
