This is a posting for a Sessional Lecturer position in the Department of Philosophy for the Fall 2026 academic session. The course, PHL220H5 F - Existentialism, is an introduction to existential themes in philosophy. Topics covered may include the search for meaning, the purpose of life, faith, freedom, death, sexuality, art, and the imagination. Philosophical texts may be supplemented with literature, poetry, and film. The position is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between The Governing Council of the University of Toronto and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902 Unit 3. The position is tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolments.
