About The Position

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of scientific thinking and the key issues associated with curating science subject matter. Science subjects are dominant in the museum field, and the history of modern science is tied to the history of museums. The course will explore specific examples of science-based museum displays and exhibitions through lectures, workshops, excursions, and conversations with museum professionals. The goal is for students to gain the tools needed to engage with science and museums at an advanced professional level.

Requirements

  • Completed, or nearly completed, PhD degree in an area related to the course or a Master’s degree plus extensive professional experience in an area related to the course.
  • Located in geographical proximity to the applicable University premises in order to attend and perform duties on University premises as of the Starting Date.

  • Teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
