Sessional Lecturer - MGAC10H3 Auditing (Emergency)
About The Position
This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach MGAC10H3 Auditing at the University of Toronto Scarborough. The course provides an introduction to the principles and practice of auditing, emphasizing auditing theory and concepts, with some discussion of audit procedures and the legal and professional responsibilities of the auditor. The estimated course enrollment is 60 students. The course runs from September 8, 2026, to December 8, 2026, with an exam period from December 10, 2026, to December 22, 2026. The successful applicant must be available throughout the exam period.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree required.
- Experience with teaching senior students in university.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching or presenting.
- Mastery of the subject area.
- Must be available throughout the exam period.
Nice To Haves
- Several years of related progressive professional experience.
- Previous experience teaching a related course at UTSC with consistent, strong course evaluations.
- Some working experience in audit is required for full qualification.
Responsibilities
- Design and teach a university credit course.
- Prepare and deliver course content.
- Develop, administer, and mark assignments, presentations, quizzes, tests, and exams.
- Calculate and submit grades.
- Hold regular office hours and maintain reasonable availability for student and administrative contact.
- Supervise assigned T.A.s.
