About The Position
This is an emergency posting for a Sessional Lecturer to teach SLA207H1S - Intermediate Polish II. The course aims to further develop students' speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills in Polish, building on prior knowledge and consolidating grammar for advanced everyday communication. The estimated course enrollment is 25 students with no TA support. The class schedule is Monday and Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The delivery method is currently in-person but may be adjusted to remote/online or a hybrid model as determined by the Faculty or Department. The appointment dates are from January 1, 2027, to April 30, 2027.
Requirements
- M.A. degree in Slavic Languages and Cultures required
- Native fluency or near native in spoken and written Polish required
- Near native English required
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. preferred
- Prior Polish language teaching experience
- Teaching at the UofT is desirable
