About The Position

This course is a continuation of MGAB01H3. Students are encouraged to take it immediately after completing MGAB01H3. Technical topics include the reporting and interpretation of debt and equity issues, owners' equity, cash flow statements and analysis. Through cases, choices of treatment and disclosure are discussed, and the development of professional judgment is encouraged. The estimated course enrollment is 40 students. The lecture section is scheduled for Tuesdays from 09:00 to 11:00 am. The course runs from September 8, 2026, to December 8, 2026, with an exam period from December 10, 2026, to December 22, 2026. All positions involve the completion of all course grading, and candidates must be available throughout the exam period.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree
  • Experience with teaching senior students in university
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching or presenting
  • Mastery of the subject area
  • Valid email address
  • Availability throughout the exam period

Nice To Haves

  • Several years related progressive professional experience
  • Previous experience teaching a related course at UTSC with consistent, strong course evaluations
  • CPA/ACCA
  • Experience in teaching similar courses

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course content
  • Development, administration and marking of assignments, presentations, quizzes, tests and exams
  • Calculation and submission of grades
  • Holding regular office hours
  • Maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact
  • Supervision of the T.A.s assigned to the course
  • Completion of all course grading
