About The Position

This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach PSY220H1F (LEC0101) – Introduction to Social Psychology. The course covers contemporary areas of research in social psychology, including social perception, attitudes, inter-personal relations, and group processes. The course is scheduled to be delivered in-person on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The estimated TA support is 235 hours, with an estimated course enrollment of 188-198 students. The appointment dates are from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. Please note that the delivery method may change based on faculty or department decisions.

Requirements

  • Completion of PhD studies in Social Psychology
  • Demonstrated scholarship in social psychology
  • Past experience and demonstrated excellence TAing and/or teaching courses in social psychology

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in teaching social psychology courses at the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus
  • Experience teaching large, introductory social psychology courses
