About The Position

The Master of Forensic Accounting Program is a 10-course program offered at the graduate level, primarily on a distance education basis, using a problem-based learning model supplemented by web- and email-based sessions. This position is for the Fall 2026 term, specifically for the course 'Forensic Accounting & Investigation, Fraud & Cybercrime (IFA 1900H)'. The course will be taught online in 8 interactive sessions, followed by an invigilated examination. There will also be an individual assignment and a group assignment. The role of the secondary instructors will be to develop and teach classes on their area of expertise, teaching 1 of the 8 classes for the course.

Requirements

  • PhD in relevant discipline (completed) or for non University of Toronto graduate students, in progress, or relevant qualifications, professional designation or professional experience.
  • Previous experience in teaching.
  • Teaching excellence.
  • Mastery of subject area.
  • Must not be a current University of Toronto student.
  • Must have a valid email address.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in teaching a similar course is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach classes on their area of expertise.
  • Teach 1 of 8 classes for the course 'Forensic Accounting & Investigation, Fraud & Cybercrime (IFA 1900H)'.
  • Deliver online sessions typically scheduled on Wednesdays from 19:00-22:00 EST/EDT.
  • Prepare and deliver content covering foundational topics in forensic accounting, fraud, cybercrime, loss quantification, and the role of forensic accountants.
  • Oversee individual and group assignments.
  • Participate in the invigilation of the final examination.
