About The Position

This position is for a Sessional Lecturer for the course PSY326H1F (LEC0101) – Social Cognition. The course examines theory and research on how individuals make sense of themselves and their social world. Topics covered include the self, decision-making, attitudes, attribution processes and impression formation, and social categorization. The estimated TA support is 81 hours for an estimated course enrollment of 45-55 students. The class schedule is Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The delivery method is currently in-person, but may change as determined by the Faculty or Department. The sessional dates of appointment are September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

Requirements

• Completion of PhD studies in Social Psychology
• Demonstrated scholarship in the area of social cognition
• Past experience and demonstrated excellence TAing and/or teaching courses in social psychology

Nice To Haves

• Experience in teaching social cognition at the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus
