About The Position

The Department of Educational Foundations in the College of Education and the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning invite applications for an Out-of-Scope Sessional Lecturer to teach the following community-based courses during the Fall 2026 Session. The course is EFDT 101.3 (E11) Introduction to Education, running from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This course will be offered as a Lecture (Live in-person in Pinehouse, SK) with an expected enrollment limit of 35. The actual days/times will be determined in consultation with the successful applicant, with a general schedule of Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding evenings or weekends without special permission. A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in Education or a related discipline and/or possession of relevant teaching or professional experience
  • Demonstrate a commitment to engaging with Indigenous ways of knowing
  • Demonstrate fostering respectful, reciprocal learning environments
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit culture
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of indigenization and the decolonization of pedagogy
  • A valid driver’s license is required
