About The Position
This position is for a Sessional Instructional Assistant for the course ECTB61H3 - English and Chinese Translation: Theory and Practice, offered in the Summer 2026 term at the University of Toronto Scarborough. The course provides an introduction to translation concepts and theories, surveys English/Chinese translation history, and discusses linguistic, cognitive, socio-political, and cultural aspects. Students will practice translation and develop awareness of translator issues through theory analysis and application.
Requirements
- Graduate experience in the discipline.

Responsibilities
- maintaining an online discussion board
- grading assignments and alternative methods of evaluation (tests/exams)
- uploading and calculating final grades
