About The Position

AmeriGas is hiring a safety-minded, customer-focused Service Technician to install and repair propane tanks and systems for residential and commercial customers. The position operates a propane service vehicle along provided routes and may include bulk or canister propane deliveries when needed. Technicians follow applicable federal and state codes and regulations and AmeriGas safety and operations policies, and consistently use required personal protective equipment. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and may require 8- to 10-hour shifts. The position is home daily.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check; employees may be subject to substance-abuse testing under company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle equipped with a lift gate and boom along provided service routes.
• Repair existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers.
• Install new propane tanks and systems for commercial and residential customers.
• Perform Delivery Representative duties as needed, including delivering bulk or canister propane.
• Follow federal and state codes and regulations and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures.
• Consistently use required personal protective equipment.
