About The Position

AmeriGas is hiring a safety-minded, customer-focused Service Technician to install and repair propane tanks for commercial and residential customers while providing safe, reliable customer service. The role operates a propane service vehicle on assigned routes and may include delivery work as needed. Technicians follow applicable federal and state codes and AmeriGas safety and operating procedures. Work may involve 8- to 10-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs, and the position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. The position pays $28.00 per hour; additional compensation may include eligibility for performance-based bonuses or commissions, depending on the position. Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to submit to pre-employment screening and, if hired, substance abuse testing in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle equipped with a lift gate and boom on provided service routes.
• Repair existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers.
• Install new propane tanks and systems for commercial and residential customers.
• As needed, perform Delivery Representative duties, including delivering bulk or canister propane.
• Perform daily work safely and comply with federal and state codes and regulations, as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures.
• Consistently use required personal protective equipment.
