About The Position

AmeriGas is hiring safety-minded, customer-focused Service Technicians to install and repair propane tanks and systems for residential and commercial customers. Technicians operate service vehicles on provided routes and may perform propane delivery duties as needed. The role requires adherence to federal and state codes, company safety and operations procedures, and consistent use of required personal protective equipment. Shifts may range from 8 to 10 hours, depending on fluctuating needs. The position pays $31.00 per hour; additional compensation may include eligibility for performance-based bonuses or commissions on completed sales, depending on the position.

Requirements

Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
Acceptable driving record.
Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening and criminal background checks; if hired, subject to substance abuse testing under company policies.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a propane service vehicle equipped with a lift gate and boom along provided service routes.
Repair existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers.
Install new propane tanks and systems for commercial and residential customers.
As needed, perform Delivery Representative duties, including delivering bulk or canister propane.
Perform daily functions safely in accordance with federal and state codes and regulations and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures.
Consistently use required personal protective equipment.
