About The Position
At Handi Medical, the Service Technician - DME helps enrich patients’ lives by delivering, setting up, and maintaining medical equipment in their homes. The technician safely transports and installs equipment such as oxygen, mobility aids, and hospital beds, while helping create a safe and comfortable environment. The role also includes educating patients on equipment use, conducting safety inspections and repairs, supporting patients and caregivers with questions and troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate records and clean inventory. The position calls for compassionate, patient-centered service and technical skill.
Requirements
- Genuine desire to help others and commitment to the organization’s mission.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex tasks simply.
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Prior healthcare or delivery experience.
