About The Position

Thalhimer is seeking a full-time Service Technician to maintain Fox Rest Apartments in Richmond, Virginia. The role focuses on keeping apartment homes and shared property areas in good condition while providing residents with responsive, professional service. The technician completes work orders and apartment turnovers; repairs and maintains HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances; and helps care for common areas, buildings, and the pool. The position includes a regular work week, on-call hours as needed, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Success calls for reliability, resourcefulness, technical proficiency, organization, and a resident-focused approach.

Requirements

At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field.
CFC and HVAC certifications.
Strong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and general apartment maintenance.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties if needed.
Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and interest in hands-on work.

Responsibilities

Complete apartment work orders and turnovers promptly.
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.
Assist with upkeep of common areas, property buildings, and pool areas.
Provide exceptional customer service in interactions with residents and staff.
Work with the team to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Manage daily checklists, occasional tasks, and unexpected troubleshooting.
