About The Position

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is seeking a full-time Service Technician to maintain the Collin's Crossing apartment community in Carrboro, North Carolina. The role involves completing apartment work orders and turnovers; performing repairs and preventive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances; and helping maintain common areas, buildings, and the pool. The technician also responds to emergency maintenance requests, troubleshoots unexpected issues, and works with the team to keep maintenance tasks efficient and professional. The position includes a regular work week with on-call hours as needed and may require travel between properties. The posting offers competitive pay, benefits, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field.
CFC and HVAC certifications.
Strong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and general apartment maintenance.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to travel between properties if needed.
Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and interest in hands-on work.
Dependability, initiative, organization, and a resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Complete apartment work orders and turnovers promptly.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.
Assist with upkeep of common areas and property buildings, including pool maintenance.
Provide exceptional customer service in interactions with residents and staff.
Coordinate with the team to handle maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Manage daily checklists and occasional tasks, and troubleshoot unexpected issues.
Travel between properties if needed.
