About The Position

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is hiring a full-time Service Technician at The Rise at Regency Apartments in Henrico, Virginia. The role maintains the property and apartment homes so residents can enjoy a well-maintained living environment. The technician completes apartment work orders and turnovers; repairs and maintains HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances; and helps maintain common areas, property buildings, and pool areas. The position includes a regular work week and on-call hours as needed, including responding to emergency maintenance requests. The successful candidate is reliable, resourceful, organized, and resident-focused, with technical proficiency and a commitment to timely, professional work and a positive resident experience. The employer offers competitive pay, benefits, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field.
CFC and HVAC certifications.
Strong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and general apartment maintenance.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to travel between properties if needed.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and interest in hands-on work.
Dependability, initiative, organization, and pride in work.

Responsibilities

Complete apartment work orders and turnovers promptly.
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.
Assist with upkeep of common areas, property buildings, and pool maintenance.
Provide exceptional customer service in interactions with residents and staff.
Coordinate with the team to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Manage daily checklists and occasional tasks, and troubleshoot unexpected issues.
Travel between properties if needed.
