About The Position

Eastern Shore Poultry, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., is seeking a Service Technician to join its team at the Laurel, Delaware location. The company provides parts, equipment, and turn-key construction to the swine and poultry industries. The role calls for excellent customer service skills and experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Requirements

• Ability to use tools associated with repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Approved safe driving record.
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the poultry production industry and poultry producers in the area.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry production facilities.
• Prior experience working with systems found in modern poultry facilities, such as ventilation, feeding and watering, and heating.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand their repair needs.
• Recommend suitable parts and equipment available from Eastern Shore Poultry to address customers’ needs.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and equipment in area poultry facilities.
• Properly bill customers for service work hours.
• Work with the in-store team to manage warranty claims.
• Participate in training opportunities offered by Eastern Shore Poultry and its vendors.
