About The Position

Shenandoah Ag Supply, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., is seeking a Service Technician to join its team at the Laurel, Delaware location. The company provides parts, equipment, and turnkey construction to the swine and poultry industries. The role calls for strong customer service skills and experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. The technician works with customers to identify repair needs, recommend suitable parts and equipment, and repair or replace faulty equipment in poultry facilities. The position also involves billing for service hours, assisting with warranty claims, and participating in training offered by the company and its vendors.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to use tools associated with repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Approved safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the poultry production industry and local poultry producers.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry production facilities.
• Prior experience with systems found in modern poultry facilities, such as ventilation, feeding and watering, and heating.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand their repair needs.
• Recommend parts and equipment available from Shenandoah Ag Supply to address customers’ needs.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and equipment in area poultry facilities.
• Properly bill customers for service work hours.
• Work with the in-store team to manage warranty claims.
• Participate in training opportunities offered by Shenandoah Ag Supply and its vendors.
