About The Position

The Automotive Service Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned, following dealer and factory standards. The role includes inspecting and diagnosing vehicle problems, completing repairs and routine maintenance, evaluating repairs through test drives, and coordinating with service advisors and the parts department. Compensation is listed as $22.00–$52.00 per hour, with a separate annual compensation listing of USD 85,000–USD 200,000. Pay is based on experience, certifications, and skill level.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
Previous dealership experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, an MVR check, and a drug test, and to provide a valid driver's license.

Previous Jaguar or Land Rover brand experience.

Responsibilities

Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, and safety issues.
Repair diagnosed problems, including work on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
Test-drive vehicles to evaluate repairs, check for issues, and confirm proper operation after repairs.
Replace or repair components such as spark plugs, air filters, brake pads, rotors, timing belts, belts, and hoses.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and alignment adjustments.
Check vehicle systems for safety concerns and identify additional services that may be needed.
Notify and work with the service advisor when additional work is unnecessary or repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
Coordinate with the parts department to obtain required parts.
Save and tag parts for warranty purposes or at customer request.
