About The Position

The Apprentice Technician supports the service team by performing minor repairs and routine maintenance while gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of an assigned Master Technician mentor. The apprenticeship builds foundational skills and experience for advancement to a flat-rate technician position. OEM training and on-the-job mentorship are provided. The role starts with hourly pay during an average six-month apprenticeship; upon completion, the apprentice is eligible for a raise and transition to a flat-rate pay structure.

Requirements

• Ability to work full-time and maintain reliable attendance.
• Previous shop or dealership experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA and possess a valid driver's license.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements, including a background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an automotive technology program, such as UTI, WyoTech, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a Master Technician mentor to learn dealership procedures and technical skills.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as outlined on repair orders.
• Assist with vehicle inspections to identify additional service needs.
• Learn to diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs under supervision.
• Complete required OEM online training as part of the apprentice curriculum.
• Request guidance as needed and maintain an active learning mindset.
• Follow safety procedures and dealership guidelines.
