About The Position

The JLR Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealership and factory standards. The role diagnoses malfunctions, conducts inspections, documents work, and communicates with service and parts teams to support efficient production, customer safety, reliability, and loyalty. Technicians maintain their normal tools, stay current on factory technical bulletins, and participate in factory-sponsored training as appropriate. The position interacts with customers, service advisors, other technicians, parts associates, sales associates, and managers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training; requirements vary based on store needs.
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable, safe driving record that is maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs when authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make appropriate recommendations to support vehicle safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of normal technician tools not inventoried by the Service department as special tools.
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
