About The Position

Sears Home Services is hiring an HVAC Repair Technician to diagnose and repair appliances in customers’ homes. Technicians deliver quality, efficient repairs and a consistently delightful customer experience, while offering value-added solutions that help make homes cleaner, more comfortable, and protected. The work involves traveling to customers’ homes rather than working at a desk. Sears provides training, cross-training, mentoring, and career advancement opportunities, as well as a company vehicle, uniforms, specialty tools, a mobile phone, and an app for technical support and paperwork. Technicians are not on call and receive year-round work. The base rate is $22–$36 per hour depending on experience, with opportunities for performance bonuses and sales incentives.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree.
EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification.
Mechanical knowledge, including the use of testing and repair tools.
Ability to follow directions and processes to produce quality workmanship.
Ability to use a smartphone, including for part ordering.
Background and drug screening.
Valid driver’s license for the state in which the employee works.
