About The Position

SouthernCarlson is hiring a hands-on Service Technician to repair customer tools and provide expert service. The role helps ensure tools operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while maintaining the company’s service standards. The technician will work with customers and partner with sales and operations teams to resolve issues. The position is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule. Compensation is hourly and based on experience.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Customer-first mindset and strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn and retain technical product knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Experience repairing pneumatic, electric, or construction power tools.
• Construction, industrial supply, or related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic and electric power tools, including nail guns and staple guns.
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure tools meet safety and performance standards.
• Provide customers with hands-on training in proper tool operation and care.
• Accurately process service orders, parts requests, and required documentation.
• Partner with sales and operations teams to resolve customer issues.
• Assist with customer orders and counter support as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service area.
• Provide friendly, professional, solutions-focused customer service.
